The ATS was staying. Copying assessment results into it did not have to.
Scope a one-way result handoff and account for the failures.
Scenario context
Enterprise TA operations · proposed ATS result integration · 2,000-result monthly workload
The problem
Recruiters maintain the ATS as their system of record, but assessment results sit elsewhere. Manual record lookup, status entry and attaching evidence consume time and introduce another place for identifiers to go wrong.
The proposed approach
- Define a one-way result handoff with candidate and requisition mapping, permitted fields and a report link. This is a proposed integration scope.
- Model 2,000 results at eight minutes of manual entry each. Assume 3% of automated transfers require a ten-minute human correction.
- Include four monthly hours for reconciliation, in addition to exception handling. Keep implementation and security review separate.
Where people stay involved
The integration team owns mapping, monitoring and retries. Recruiters retain the ATS workflow and hiring decisions. No vendor or existing production connector is claimed.
What the model calculates
Manual handling is modelled at 266.7 hours a month. Exceptions and reconciliation total 14 hours, leaving 252.7 hours of potential recurring handling capacity.
What it does not establish
This is an illustrative solution model, not a customer integration case. Setup, maintenance engineering, licensing and implementation cost are excluded; no ROI or payback is claimed.
